Our Story
Every company has a story. Ours begins in 1994 when our President - Bill Rodger realized that all mechanical and electrical contractors are energy companies. We don’t just build things; we create systems that manage a buildings energy use.
Having spent extensive time in the industry as a salesman and estimator working for several mechanical contractors, Bill started NRG because he felt that the energy efficiency market was being ignored by conventional mechanical contractors. The industry was falling behind the times: too used to putting in the same systems, and too resistant to adopting green technologies.
At NRG we take a different approach. We understand that your company is unique, and that your buildings systems must be tailored to your needs. A different approach means specific analysis and audits to access your needs coupled with complete installation and preventive maintenance support. We provide complete mechanical and electrical services for the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Sectors (ICI) and thanks to our highly qualified team of construction professionals and support personnel we are ahead of the curve on quality, timeliness and reliability. Our projects exhibit a high rate of internal return, typically paying for themselves within a small number of years, after which they actually pay you through utilities and maintenance cost savings.
